I'm Michael, web developer and founder of Next Web Design, based in Rotterdam. I build websites and webshops for business owners who care as much about speed and craftsmanship as I do.
With 8 years of experience in development, I bring together technical precision and design sensibility to create sites that don't just work, they convince.

What sets me apart
Most agencies split a project across a whole cast of people: an account manager for contact, a designer for visuals, a developer for the build, and often a different team altogether for maintenance. Something gets lost at every handoff.
I do it differently. I own a project end to end, from the first conversation through launch and beyond, and I build on open infrastructure that stays yours rather than a closed platform you're stuck with. That means nothing gets lost in translation between what you ask for and what gets built, and every technical decision is one I can stand behind, because I'm the one who built it.
What drives me
I've always been drawn to things that work exactly as they should: a machine that runs smoothly, code that reads like it couldn't have been written any other way, a website that loads before you even notice you clicked.
What really drives me is the last stretch. Getting a website functional is the easy part. What I care about is the moment right after, when most developers call it done and I keep going: the extra milliseconds shaved off a load time, the button that feels satisfying to click, the flow that just makes sense without anyone having to explain it.
That's the difference between a website that works and one that works beautifully. I don't stop until it feels right.
